About Us

FEET (etc) was established in 2010 by Wendy Wells. Wendy wanted to provide a professional foot care service to people from all walks of life, whether they were experiencing painful feet due to a corn, struggling to cut their own toenails, or just wanted their feet assessing by an experienced Podiatrist.

We hope that FEET (etc) is a place where you will find comfort, tranquillity and relaxation and a place that you will continue to enjoy visiting.

‘Feet! Where would we be without them?’ – that was the opening line for my University of Huddersfield application form back in 1995 and, 28 years on, here I am (I know, I don’t look old enough!)

I graduated in 1999 with a BSc (Hons) Degree in Podiatry and started working for the NHS in Nottingham, seeing a wide variety of people with complex foot problems and treatments. Working within the multidisciplinary diabetes team at Nottingham City Hospital and Queens Medical Centre provided me with further knowledge and experience of the diabetic foot, for which I have a particular interest, although I enjoy all aspects of feet and footcare. I also worked alongside my father in the family Chiropody practice (started by my grandfather in 1950 something), which gave me a great insight into running a private practice. I decided that this was the way I wanted my Podiatry career to progress and in 2010 FEET (etc) was born. Building and developing the practice has been enjoyable and rewarding, as well as hard work, and I’ve learned a lot along the way.  I’m very lucky to have worked with some great people during my Podiatry career and I feel incredibly privileged to have a kind, encouraging and loyal group of patients who continue to come to me and support my business.  Being able to provide a service that can improve your health and wellbeing makes me feel incredibly proud.

In my spare time (of which there isn’t much!), I enjoy spending time with my family, being out and about, and walking (preferably in the sunshine!), with coffee and cake on the way home for good measure!

I’ve recently joined the reception team at FEET (etc) and everyone has made me feel very welcome.

Having spent many years working in pharmacy, the world of Podiatry is new to me. I’m really looking forward to meeting our clients and learning all about feet!

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time the my family and meeting up with friends. I also like swimming and reading in my spare time.
